Lee is finally a USA CITIZEN!!!!!!

Today was a wonderful day! Lee was able to finally be sworn in as a citizen. We left the house this morning at 550AM for his 730AM appointment. He had to take his citizenship test and of course he passed it. So we were out of there by 745AM. Then Lee informed me that the swearing in ceremony didn't start until 2PM. So instead of using the gas to go all the way back home we went to a mall and walked around. After getting breakfast we ended up being at the mall for 2 1/2 hours. Wow do my feet hurt. We got lunch and headed back to Homeland Security for the cermony. We went through security and while Lee filled out the last bit of paperwork the kids and I waited in the small auditorium.

Lee waiting for it to begin.

They gave the kids flags to wave. Both of them loved their flags. I even got Stephane to wave his. It was so adorable.

Still waiting.

Swearing in.

Getting his official citizenship certificate.
Outside proudly waving their American Flags.

I would like to say how proud I am of my husband. He has done so much for this country and it is so great to see him to finally be official. He is excited to be able to register to vote and be part of that process. I love him so much.

Wow, Congratulations to Lee! That's awesome. Your pictures made me tear up, Donna! I didn't know he wanted to become a US citizen...though it makes sense with his service in the military. I'm soooo happy for you guys!
