22Jan2011

While in Utah we celebrated the boys' birthdays. Stephane's was a couple days after we left and Lee wasn't going to be home for Jean-Louis's so we did them together. I can't believe that Stephane is 3. It just seems like not long ago we were moving here, Ft. Lewis, and welcoming him into our family. He is getting so big and loves his sister and brother. We were worried about him for a while because he wasn't talking but now he never stops. haha He brings us so much joy and we love him.

Jean-Louis didn't want to be in this picture.
But had to get one of them together with the cake before we dug into it.

That's one HUGE candle. ha

His first slice of cake.
He took it slow.

But soon he was chowing down.

We had to quickly clean him up once we saw this.

Christmas Morning 2010

The kids were so excited when they saw everything Christmas morning. They couldn't even wait for us to be out of bed before they pulled down the baby gate (to keep the dogs out) and were enjoying their big items.

A pillow pet just what I wanted!!!

Digging into their stockings. I forgot to pack the stockings so we improvised with bags but that was okay by them since they were much bigger than their stockings. haha
I love the pure joy on his face.
Stephane was so funny with the stuff in his stocking. He would pull something out and say "Cool!" then throw it aside and dig out something more. He was cracking us up.
Now that the stockings are done they were ready to open everything else.

In a flurry of gift wrap and smiles they were all done.
Now time to go outside and try out the bike and wagon.

They had so much fun with all their new stuff. Of course, they still have fun with it all except for the bike and wagon. We couldn't fit it all into our van so the kids and I will bring that back when we go for Aubrey's wedding in a few weeks. All in all I think we had a good one.

Decorating the tree

We helped Granna decorate the tree. She was nice enough to wait until we got there to get one and we decided to just get a little one so Jean-Louis couldn't get into it as much.

Putting on the lights.

Marie-Eve was so excited to help with the tree.
Jean-Louis tried to help too.

Stephane adding an ornament.

Utah Snow

We went to Utah for Christmas this year and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the ton of snow that came down while we were there. So glad we went ahead and got all the kids snow gear for this trip.

Daddy and Stephane building their fort.

Granna and Marie-Eve building theirs.

The boys waiting for the snowball fight to begin.

Marie-Eve and Granna used a flower pot to gather all their snowballs.

Stephane starts the fight by getting Granna first.

Marie-Eve hides behind her wall.

Granna gets into throwing and hiding.

Lee loved playing in the snow with the kids.

Jean-Louis kept crying every time I sat him in the snow.

And then I found out why.
O'Hara wouldn't leave him alone. Poor Jean-Louis.

They even found time to build snowmen.
