28Apr11 Nauvoo Part 1

We went from Kansas to Nauvoo, Illinois to visit all the historical sites there. We arrived and decided to start off at the visitors' center. We went in briefly but soon realized the kids have been cooped up and just needed to run. We walked in the Monument to Women Garden and then visited a couple of sites before heading to our hotel.

Jean-Louis loved the flowers.
So much that we couldn't keep him away. ha
Marie-Eve insisted on posing with each statue.
So of course, Stephane did too.

They have a new place (at least since the last time I was there over 10 yrs ago) called the Family Living Center. Here they showed you how they made things to live during the time of old Nauvoo.
Stephane pretending to make a candle.
Making rope. Marie-Eve was turning the rope on one end and...
Stephane was turning on the other end.
Showing off the candle and rope.

Kansas 19Apr-25Apr11

We spent a week with my parents and it just happened to fall over Easter weekend. All my siblings came down and we had a ton of fun. We only wish we could have been there longer. We were so busy doing things that I didn't get a whole ton of pictures except for Easter. Here are a few of my favorite.

Marie-Eve coloring her eggs.
Stephane loved coloring eggs for the first time.
Look at the concentration on his face. haha
Every one's eggs all dyed and ready for the Easter Bunny.
Jean-Louis checking out his basket.
Marie-Eve loved going thru all of her loot.
Stephane checking it all out.
Sucking on some candy.
He had a hard time waiting for things to be unwrapped.
Easter Egg Hunt!

Afterwards, the cousins went in the front and played with bubbles.

This is what happens when you play so hard!!

Utah 10Apr-18Apr11

We had so much fun in Utah. It was cold most of the time we were there but we did have a few good day that we were able to play in their nice back yard.

Stephane loves his Uncle Chris.

Always wanting to help.

We also were able to take Lee's guns out and shoot them. He has been dying to get me to shoot them. Chris also had some that we had fun with. Lee had gotten some clay pigeons that him and Chris had fun shooting, or should I say try to shoot. haha

Shooting the 12gauge

Moving 8Apr11

On April 9th we took off from Fort Lewis, WA to start our journey to our new home at Fort Benning, GA. After our stuff was packed up (one of the best things about the army is they do it all for you) and we did a good cleaning of the house we packed the boys up and headed to Utah. Marie-Eve had left the week before with Grana and Grandpa (Lee's parents) and enjoyed spending the week with them. It was a blessing in disguise since she was sick off and on. If she had been with us it would have been difficult to take care of her while everything was being packed up. The boys were really good on the trip to Utah and we were glad to finally be on our way to Georgia, we had known we were going to move there for over a year.

Aubrey's Wedding 11Feb11

In February the kids and I went to Utah for Aubrey's wedding. Marie-Eve was a flower girl and I was the photographer. It was a long trip but fun and worth it. The kids were good and all the family and friends helped take care of the boys so I could focus on capturing the moments. I ended up taking over 800 pictures that night. Here are a few of the kids.
